Pink Wallpaper Designs Biography
f you haven’t already (and we assume you have, as she has made a good name for herself!) visited Shannon Darby’s design & lifestyle blog, Pink Wallpaper, then please allow us to introduce you: this former Atlantan’s daily dose of inspiration had us hooked from the very start of our own blogging days. With plenty of great ideas and an eye for beautiful interiors – including some of the best children’ spaces – Pink Wallpaper is a must read, if not only for all the motivational quotes Shannon pairs with just the right image and her daily narratives. We recently had the opportunity to ask Shannon a few questions about herself, her beautiful family and her fabulous blog.
What inspired the title of your blog, Pink Wallpaper
I just decided on a whim to start a blog two months after having Taylor...i wanted to stay connected to the design world, even though i had a newborn on my hands. at the time, i really had only seen a blog like, twice, but i was bored and decided to make one. it asked for a title and i thought of two of my favorite things- pink and wallpaper...and the rest is history :) We love following your projects -- from updating Taylor’s room, the elaborate birthday party ideas, to the design of your brother’s cabin. What’s next on your agenda?
right now i am really trying to build up inventory for my other project/ blog, the designer’s attic. i am addicted to fabric and LOVE finding beautiful fabrics at great prices. it’s also a lot of fun showing people how to use them. and i am still a slacker mom who hasn’t done taylor’s room yet...so that is still on my plate! also, getting my real design business up and running in Beaufort, SC. we moved here when i was pregnant and then i went on bed rest, had a baby, etc. now i feel like i finally have time to be a designer again!
What is your favorite paint color
oh man....i love so many. Benjamin Moore’s Wickham Gray HC-171 is a fabulous color! i used it in a client’s master bedroom/ bathroom and it is so soothing....a light gray with a blue undertone. Ben Moore’s Camouflage 2143-40 rocks...a pale, grayed out army green. in my own home, i have a ton of Ben Moore’s Palladian Blue HC-144 - i’m such a sucker for this color,
